City acknowledges Peace Ambassadors in Atlantis 13 June 2023 The City of Cape Town’s Deputy Mayor and Mayoral Committee Member for Spatial Planning and Environment, Alderman Eddie Andrews joined the Mayoral Urban Regeneration Programme (MURP) team in Atlantis last night to attend the graduation of the Atlantis Peace Ambassadors. The Peace Ambassador Project is a strategic source of empowering participants to become active role players of peace within their communities. The goal of the Peace Ambassador Project is to provide participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to play an active role in seeking solutions to overcome issues of crime and violence in gang ridden communities. A Peace Ambassador has the responsibility to oppose violence, build peace and sustain development.
